Hello! I'm Nicole Kazonie, the artist behind UpSaged. Each piece you see here is an original creation or a print of my original artwork,  born from my passion for bringing art into everyday life.

My Artistic Journey

I was born to create. I have been exploring the arts my whole life, and when I picked up the paintbrush again in 2009, my life unfolded in ways, I never imagined. After nearly 20 years as a hairstylst, i was put on disability due to the fact I have bipolar disorder along with a thick file of physical and psychological issues. I caved, I crumbled and I pulled away from society, from my family and I medicated myself to the point I lived in a state of denial by choice, because it was easier to avoid the truths that I was afraid to face. I had to become my own savior, I had to change my life, my way. This website was built in hopes I can create a new life for myself and my future generations. My art is about connecting with self, with spirit, connecting with nature, our emotions and sharing my depiction of how I process my emotions as I heal mentally, spiritually and emotionally. My art is about connecting to the core, to our heart, to our source of all that is and isn't...my art has helped me transform into the woman I am today. Being the best version of me today....and I am grateful.

What I Create

I specialize in creating original artwork that celebrates nature, spirit, and the beauty of the world around us. From canvas prints to functional art like mugs, tote bags, and candles, I believe art should be part of your daily experience. Each design starts as an original piece that I then carefully transfer onto quality products you can enjoy every day.

My Process

I move in spirit. I paint with my emotions and trust my hands that they know what they want to create while working in alignment with my spirit who is in alignment with mother earth and all that is and was. For I am a spiritual being having this experience as a human female named Nicole. Who looks at life like a cosmic playground and is too busy enjoying what is in my bubble. Experiencing the slow pace of life today, feeding the crows and conversing with them and thanking them for sharing their energy and stories with me. My creative process is all about being present in the moment and sitting with my emotions and actually experiencing how it affects my body...and then asking if it's actually my energy or not...and then realizing woah, I am in my head a little too much, I need to go do something....so I go create.
